Stores may be stocking Halloween candy, but I am stuck in summer and loving the lethargy and the chance to have some childhood fun.
Last weekend, I celebrated my birthday with my friends at Knoebels, a most Pennsylvanian destination. A free admission amusement in the middle of the forest, more 9th birthdays are celebrated at Knoebels than 29th birthdays, but spending the whole day laughing with your friends on log flumes, bumper cars, and rollercoasters is ageless fun.
Next week, I’m playing east-coast tourist as I host a west-coast guest, and the week after that I’m off at camp! I’ll be back with a missive from camp in 3 weeks. Until then, don’t be fooled by the back-to-school ads. Summer will be hanging around.
